Heirs Insurance Group, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing insurance companies, has officially launched the maiden Heirs Insurance Hackathon, a technology-driven innovation challenge aimed at empowering young Nigerians to shape the future of insurance through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital solutions.
The Hackathon targets students in universities, polytechnics, and other tertiary institutions, inviting them to develop innovative solutions across the insurance value chain—including customer experience, claims processing, underwriting, distribution, data analytics, and operational efficiency.
“Africa’s future will be built by young people who apply their creativity and technology skills to real economic challenges. Through the Heirs Insurance Hackathon, we are giving the next generation of innovators a platform to engage with the insurance industry, build meaningful solutions, and contribute to a more efficient and inclusive financial system,” said Peace O. The Hackathon will be conducted in partnership with Redtech, the digital payments arm of Heirs Holdings, which will provide technical support and evaluate submissions based on creativity, technical feasibility, scalability, and real-world impact.
