The company’s management, led by Chairman Mr. Tope Smart, welcomed YabaTech’s Rector, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, to its Lagos headquarters, where both institutions discussed collaborative initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between academia and the corporate world.

During the meeting, the Managing Director of NEM Insurance, Mr. Andrew Ikekhua, expressed gratitude for the Rector’s visit and emphasized the company’s dedication to fostering educational development. He stated, “At NEM Insurance, we understand the critical role education plays in shaping the future of our nation. We are committed to supporting programs that prepare students for the evolving workforce.”

Dr. Abdul, in response, reiterated YabaTech’s focus on equipping students with skills that align with industry demands. He acknowledged NEM Insurance’s continued support and contributions to the Nigerian insurance sector. “YabaTech is committed to producing graduates who are both academically sound and industry-ready. Partnering with companies like NEM Insurance is essential in achieving this goal,” he said.

As part of the collaboration, both parties agreed to explore several initiatives in the coming months. These include internship opportunities for YabaTech students at NEM Insurance, the development of specialized courses in risk management and insurance, and the creation of tailored training programs designed to provide hands-on experience in financial services and insurance.

Chairman Mr. Tope Smart assured YabaTech of NEM’s unwavering support for these initiatives, emphasizing the mutual benefits of the partnership. “Your requests are assured, and together, we can achieve significant milestones for both YabaTech and NEM Insurance,” he stated.
