Rex Insurance Announces Key Leadership Appointments to Drive Growth

Rex Insurance Limited has announced the appointment of four key executives to its management team as part of its commitment to driving strategic growth and innovation in Nigeria’s insurance sector. The newly appointed executives include Adesola Akintayo as Executive Director, Technical; Abayomi Kayode as Chief Financial Officer (CFO); Adeyinka Aderombi as Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO); and Kazeem Sulaimon as Head of Underwriting.

The appointments, approved by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), are aimed at enhancing the company’s operational excellence and positioning it as a leader in the Nigerian insurance industry.

Dr. Ike Chioke, Chairman of the Board of Directors, highlighted the significance of these appointments, stating, “These leaders bring a wealth of experience and proven track records to Rex Insurance. Their expertise, innovative thinking, and deep understanding of the industry will play a pivotal role in advancing our strategic initiatives and ensuring sustainable growth. We are confident in their ability to lead Rex Insurance to new heights.”

Each executive is tasked with a critical role to support the company’s vision. Adesola Akintayo, with her extensive knowledge of the insurance sector, will oversee the Technical Department, focusing on driving profitability and operational excellence. Abayomi Kayode will prioritize the company’s financial health and resource optimization as CFO, ensuring long-term growth. Adeyinka Aderombi, as the CDIO, will lead technological advancements to foster innovation and operational efficiency. Kazeem Sulaimon, as Head of Underwriting, will strengthen the company’s core business and risk management practices, positioning Rex Insurance as a major industry player.

Rex Insurance emphasized that these appointments align with its long-term goals of leveraging opportunities in the general insurance market, enhancing technical competence, and transitioning into a fully digital insurance company. The firm aims to deliver seamless, efficient services to its clients while focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction.
