Join the IBS Insurance Innovation Roundtable: Shaping Africa’s Insurance Future with Grye and MyCover.ai

Grye, a prominent player in promoting insurance innovation across Africa, has teamed up with Nigeria’s leading InsurTech company, MyCover.ai, to organize the IBS Insurance Innovation Roundtable in Lagos. This collaborative effort aims to bring together key stakeholders in the African insurance ecosystem to foster dialogue on emerging trends, exchange valuable insights, and develop forward-thinking solutions that will drive insurance penetration and financial inclusion across the continent, particularly in Nigeria.

The IBS Insurance Innovation Roundtable is scheduled for October 24, 2024, and will serve as a platform for InsurTech pioneers, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, investors, and regulators to discuss the future of the industry. The event will focus on the theme “Shaping the Future of Insurance through Partnership, Innovation, and Technology.” This initiative is expected to enhance collaboration among ecosystem players and strengthen the impact of insurance on underserved communities, helping to address critical challenges in the industry.

Adedamola Oloko, Co-founder of Grye Ltd., emphasized the significance of the roundtable, stating that the African insurance industry is evolving rapidly, and there is a pressing need to shape its direction rather than simply adapting to changes. He noted that this roundtable would provide a space for meaningful dialogue among key players, helping to tackle the industry’s unique challenges and chart a course for sustainable growth. His sentiments were echoed by Folumy Olorunmola, another Co-founder of Grye Ltd., who highlighted the importance of partnership and innovation in this initiative. Olorunmola expressed confidence that the collaboration with MyCover.ai, a leading force in African InsurTech, would be a catalyst for driving change in the insurance industry.

Adebowale Banjo, Co-founder of MyCover.ai, also shared his views on the pivotal role technology plays in transforming the insurance landscape in Africa. He expressed excitement about collaborating with all stakeholders to explore cutting-edge solutions that will enhance insurance access and promote financial inclusion across the continent. Banjo underscored how technology is reshaping the insurance sector, making it more accessible and inclusive, and positioned the event as an opportunity to ensure that Africa’s insurance ecosystem leads global innovation.

The Nigerian Insurance Association (NIA) is also lending its support to the event, highlighting its importance to the local insurance industry. The NIA’s Director-General, Mrs. Bola Odukale, affirmed the association’s commitment to advancing insurance innovation in Nigeria and beyond. She expressed pride in supporting the IBS Insurance Innovation Roundtable, emphasizing that the platform would help foster the partnerships and technological advancements needed to drive the growth of the industry.
