Tanker drivers partner FRSC to minimise accidents

THE Petroleum Tanker Drivers, PTD, branch of National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has concluded plans to partner Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, with a view to reducing accidents on the roads.
PTD President, Mr. Salimotu Oladiti, disclosed this at the end of a national summit on haulage operations in Sokoto.
According to Oladiti, a plan to have both tanker drivers and the leadership of the union get continuous training on how to manage haulage business has been put in place.
He said: “There will be an on-the-job training and retraining of our members and a continuous leadership training for our leaders.”
