SPORT: Standard Alliance wins Kano league insurance

 

 
Standard Alliance Insurance Plc has emerged as the official insurer of the Nigeria Nation-Wide League in Kano.

A statement from the firm on Sunday said the league which is the third-tier of organised league football in Nigeria commenced with Wudil FC and Shekarau Babes FC, both based in Kano.
The company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Nelson Egboboh, said Standard Alliance Insurance was pleased to identify with the league.
 
He said the company was providing group personal accident cover for all the players and officials during the five-month league season.
 
He said that this was not the first time the company would be showing this passion as it had sponsored sporting activities such as golf, squash and boxing tournaments at different times.
 
He said as a sport-loving corporate company, it would always show interest in joining hands with everyone towards the development of all sporting activities in the country.
