Rex Insurance Sets 2025 Goal: Profitability with Purpose

A year after unveiling its new identity, Rex Insurance says it’s ready for the next big step — becoming a profitable and customer-focused business in 2025.

At a breakfast meeting with the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) in Lagos, Rex Insurance CEO, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, shared the company’s renewed direction.

“We’ve spent time rebuilding our foundation. Now, we’re focused on growth, synergy, and profitability. Our shareholders have stayed with us through tough times, and 2025 is the year to reward their trust,” she said.

A New Look, A New Direction

Formerly known as Royal Exchange, Rex Insurance rebranded in July 2024 and opened a new head office on Victoria Island, Lagos. The change wasn’t just cosmetic — it marked a shift in company culture, leadership, and the way it does business.

“It’s not just a name change. We’ve changed the way we think, work, and serve our clients,” Mrs. Nwachukwu noted.

he 2025 Game Plan: Profitability and Efficiency

Rex Insurance has set a clear theme for 2025:
“Building Returns, Synergy, and Growth.”

Here’s what that means:

  • Profit First: A sharper focus on achieving sustainable profits.
  • Smarter Operations: Cutting unnecessary costs and improving internal systems.
  • Customer Focus: Better services, faster claims, and more efficient support for policyholders.

“We’re being intentional about everything we do. Profitability isn’t just a goal—it’s a responsibility,” she added.

Brokers Remain Key to Rex’s Growth

The breakfast session also celebrated one year since Rex’s rebrand. It was a chance to reconnect with insurance brokers, who continue to be vital partners in the company’s success.

Mrs. Nwachukwu praised the support from brokers and the NCRIB, emphasizing that strong partnerships will drive future growth.

“We value our broker community and believe that together, we can take insurance in Nigeria to new heights.”

Looking Ahead: Rex Is Just Getting Started

Rex Insurance is one of Nigeria’s legacy insurance brands, and with its rebrand and renewed focus, it’s entering a new era of innovation and profitability. With investments in technology, leadership, and culture, the company is aiming to become one of the top-performing insurers in Nigeria.

Whether you’re a policyholder, broker, or industry observer, Rex Insurance’s journey is one to watch.
