AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, a member of the global AXA Group, has unveiled a digital motor insurance inspection solution designed to make vehicle inspections faster, easier, and more convenient for customers across Nigeria.
The new innovation allows motorists to complete required vehicle inspections using their smartphones, eliminating the need for physical inspections in many cases and significantly reducing turnaround time.
How the Digital Vehicle Inspection Works
Powered by Curacel, an insurance technology company, the digital inspection process enables customers to submit photographs of their vehicles directly through designated digital channels.
Once uploaded, the images are:
- Automatically reviewed and screened
- Analysed through an automated inspection system
- Converted into detailed inspection reports
These reports are then seamlessly integrated into AXA Mansard’s underwriting and claims workflows, supporting:
- New comprehensive motor insurance policies
- Policy renewals
- Claims assessments

Speaking on the launch, Chizuru Nwankwonta, Chief Technology Officer at AXA Mansard Insurance, said the solution reflects the company’s commitment to digital innovation and customer-centric service delivery.

The solution was developed in partnership with Curacel, whose platform supports image submission, automated screening, and documentation processing. AXA Mansard noted that the initiative is part of its broader strategy to collaborate with external technology partners on specific operational modules to improve efficiency and service quality.

The digital motor inspection service is now live across Nigeria, giving customers nationwide access to a faster and more convenient inspection process. Policyholders can access the feature through AXA Mansard’s digital platforms and via inspection links provided during motor insurance onboarding.
