At the launch event in Lagos, key stakeholders, including the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), and the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), pledged their support for the initiative.

The campaign, part of the Safe Steps Road Safety Initiative, focuses on educating road users on responsible driving, helmet use, and emergency first aid. Using mass media, digital platforms, and community outreach, the program will equip Nigerians with life-saving knowledge to prevent accidents and protect lives.

Cherise Ige, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, described road accidents as a growing public health crisis. She emphasized that awareness and education are key to saving lives, adding that the initiative will be rolled out in Lagos and Abuja, targeting motorists, pedestrians, and commercial transport operators.

With this initiative, Prudence Foundation reinforces its mission of creating a safer future for Nigerians, ensuring that every road user has access to critical safety information that can make a difference.
