Prudential Zenith Life Insurance is currently recruiting for the role of Chief Agency Officer to join their team in Victoria Island, Lagos. This position offers a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to lead the company’s Agency Distribution (AD) division, driving strategic growth and enhancing the company’s financial goals across its African and Asian markets.
Role Summary
The Chief Agency Officer will oversee the end-to-end management of the Agency Distribution channel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring sustainable revenue growth by developing and implementing strategies aligned with the company’s strategic and financial goals. This role also requires building a high-performing team and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, including agency partners and regulators, to achieve sales targets and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan manpower for the Agency sales channel and develop strategies to achieve targeted sales objectives.
- Drive growth in the company’s Conventional Insurance Business and Agency Force, identifying and penetrating untapped markets.
- Establish and maintain relationships within the insurance industry, keeping up with trends, competitors, and regulatory changes.
- Spearhead growth strategies such as MAPA strategies, Agency Segmentation, and other initiatives to meet financial goals.
- Analyze business performance, identify gaps, and propose measures to improve productivity.
- Negotiate sales and business development initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
Candidates are expected to meet the following qualifications:
- A B.Sc. degree in a relevant field (M.Sc. or MBA is an added advantage).
- At least 10 years of experience in life insurance agency distribution, banking, or related financial services, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
- Professional certification in insurance (e.g., CIIN, ACII) is preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant insurance software programs and Microsoft Office applications.
